Lake Baikal, Southern Shore - Escorted Walking

Lake Baikal lies only seventy kilometres from the Siberian city of Irkutsk and holds a fifth of the world’s fresh water. You take a local train from Irkutsk to the town of Sludyanka located at the southern termination of Lake Baikal. You will pass marble quarries, small warm water lakes near Snezhnaya (Snow) River, beautiful mountain streams, thick Siberian taiga-forest and peaceful beaches as well as many other natural attractions.
