Lake Baikal lies only seventy kilometres from the Siberian city of Irkutsk and holds a fifth of the world’s fresh water. You take a local train from Irkutsk to the town of Sludyanka located at the southern termination of Lake Baikal. You will pass marble quarries, small warm water lakes near Snezhnaya (Snow) River, beautiful mountain streams, thick Siberian taiga-forest and peaceful beaches as well as many other natural attraction

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Irkutsk. Met and transfered to accommodation. 3-hour guided walking city tour, one museum Day 2: Early morning departure from Irkutsk by train to Sludyanka, located on the shore of southern Lake Baikal. Start cycling. Overnight in a tent. Day 3: Cycling along the south-eastern shore of Lake Baikal. Accommodation tent / family-run pension Day 4: Cycling north. Connect with train back to Irkutsk. Met and transfered to accommodation. Day 5: End of tour. Transfer to either station or airport.
